Ronde-bosse figurant le 5ème Dalaï-lama Lama [1617-1682], coiffé du bonnet caractéristique de l'ordre de Dge-lugs-pa, assis sur le deux coussin recouvert d’un tapis orné de motifs floraux, la main droite faisant le geste de l'argumentation, la main gauche posée sur le genou. Visage ridé et souriant. Vêtements ornés de motifs floraux incisés.
Inscription nominative en tibétain dans un cartouche à l’avant du siège, sur la partie supérieure de la face principale du socle : "Ta bla ma (Grand Lama) Ngag-dbang-legs-bzang".
